My classes were based on authenticity - as that is a frequency that gets us in a state of allowing - rather than chasing or hunting. That shit drains and gives us pressure. I’m not about pressure. I bumped on the term ‘Ontos Logos’ a year ago which means the Study Of Being. Something I missed in most of my educational environments. The power of Being has been swapped for doing. I had no other choice than coming back to Being after I tore my ACL. Sitting still was my worst case scenario. Sitting still turned out to be the best case scenario I could have. I turned the studio into my temple. Where safety is a must and thoughts thus feelings are visitors we look at, go in conversation with or leave them as they are - as every thought just is. We searched for feelings we prefer to hide, to acknowledge. Change starts with acknowledging. Change starts with you. Dancing is a philosophy in motion. Each body carries a history, a set of possibilities, a resistance, a memory. We worked on inside and outside, Being and becoming. Movement as a mirror, a translation, a ritual. To recover the real. Let’s first learn what Being feels like before we try to express it —— to dance is to embody a question rather than to perform an answer. I loved moving. I lost my way of moving. So I could redesign my meaning of moving. I’m fitter than ever. Not because I physically move for hours. But because my mind is fit. By expressing ourselves we first have to know who Self is. And I feel euphoric to have guided some amazing movers with my approach of Being. Shoutout to everybody I had convos with in and outside our playground. There’s no teachers without students.
