Growing up as a flat chested girl presented prime mental development opportunities 🙃 Seriously tho, and especially when your mom (with the same chest) is highly insecure about hers and you unconsciously absorb her shame and embarrassment and turn it into your own. Me being a teenage Chinese FOB (immigrant) in the US also intensified my experience, because I lived in a 99% homogenous environment up until that point. Being a 12yr old new to the US, I was then comparing myself to a complete racial diversity of teenage chests that I didn’t know existed if you know what I mean🥺 It would be quite very truly wrong to assume that I’m not insecure about my body, today I’m unfazed with people’s comments but everyday I intentionally send love and gratitude to my body, the vessel for my brain and my existence. I’m forever grateful to you. ❤️
